When classrooms go digital, reading gets transformed, becoming more impactful, engaging and effective for students. Learn how digital reading was brought to 1:1 classrooms in multiple middle and high school classrooms in the Eanes Independent School District. Through close reading apps like Subtext, the presenter will overview how 6 tried-and-true reading strategies can become easier and more effective when reading digitally. Both “new to digital” teachers and 1:1 experts will gain succinct, easy-to-integrate instructional ideas that can be applied to their classrooms.

Greg Garner

Research Associate, The Friday Institute for Educational Innovation
Greg is a true edu-punk. He looks at the way things have always been done and finds ways to change it up. He works with an amazing group of educators at The Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, part of NC State University's College of Education as a Research Associate for Professional Development and Digital Learning Initiatives. He doesn't really know what that title means, but it sounds fancy enough.
