When adopting technology in the classroom, one of the key concerns for teachers and administrators is classroom management. Often, people believe that managing a classroom that has employed technology requires a whole new approach and skill set. However, I have found that many traditional methods of classroom management readily translate to the technologically rich curriculum - with some slight modification. Establishing expectations, agreeing on common courtesies, and building a positive classroom culture all help to cultivate an effective and structured learning environment. In this presentation, I will share strategies and practices that prove effective in managing the unique environment of a mobile technology.
